Our trip downtown

Sarah and I ventured downtown for a photo shoot last week. The weather was amazing, it was our first warm sunny day. We are farm people now, so we’ve settled into the restaurants close to us with some pretty decent gluten free options. But… we were downtown, and gluten free has a whole new meaning. Our friend Anna said that the Smack Shack served gluten free fish and chips. Sarah had never had gluten free breaded fish that she could remember, and I hadn’t had anything like this for almost 10 years.

After our fabulous lunch, we headed to Corner Coffee for a couple of iced lattes. The plan was to walk to the Stone Arch Bridge for some pictures with the city in the background. We wanted the coffee’s for the photo, so we had to walk for at least a half hour without actually drinking our coffee. Do you know how difficult that is? There’s something about an iced latte on a hot summer day, tiny sips are just painful. We did make it however, and the pictures turned out fabulous!
