Why Goat Milk Soap
What is so special about goat milk soap? First off, there are no harsh chemicals in our soap. Each bar of our soap contains approximately 1.4 ounces of milk. This is 2/3 more than most goat milk soaps out there.
Goat Milk contains Alpha hydroxy acids, such as lactic acid, which attack the “glue” that holds dead skin cells together. Natural exfoliation occurs, and dead skin cells are washed away leaving behind smoother and younger looking skin. Because of this, goat milk soap can help with skin conditions like eczema, psoriasis and dry skin.
Goat milk is loaded with vitamins and minerals, especially vitamin A, which helps repair damaged skin tissue. There are medical studies showing that creams made with Vitamin A reduce lines and wrinkles, control acne, and help with skin conditions. Water-based soaps can be artificially fortified with vitamins, but most aren’t. Goat milk also contains selenium which scientists believe to have an important role in preventing skin cancer. Selenium can also help prevent damage to the skin from excessive time in the sun.
Goat milk soap is made with oils and cream. The cream found in goat milk along with the coconut oil, olive oil and lard helps to moisturize your skin. Our customers tell us they can instantly tell their skin is softer after using our goat milk soap.
Goat milk is hydrating to your skin. The fat molecules in goat milk moisturize the skin by penetrating deeply, sealing the water in. The proteins in goat milk (amino acids) act as humectants – which attract water molecules to themselves like magnets attract iron. The actions of both proteins and fats in goat milk complement each other to dynamically hydrate and moisturize the skin.
