It was one of those kinds of days.....
We’ve been busier than we’ve ever been lately, so I was making soap as fast as I could one day. The pots we pour out of can get pretty slippery from all of the oils, but typically I catch myself before I spill anything. This particualr soaping day I actually spilled as I was pouring, and a lot of it! I had soap going down my arm, down my leg, and all over my shoe! I am totally addicted to Crocs, so my shoe was filled with those little famous Croc holes leaving my skin to be soaked by the active lye. But there was soap to be made, so even though I was covered in soap, I continued on!
Sarah had a good laugh and snapped this picture of me covered in soap! Looking at this made me realize just how much we have grown. I started making soap with litle two ounce bottles of essential oils. We graduated first to the one pound bottles you see on our shelving, and then we had to start buying our 5 pound jars of oils! It seems like every couple of weeks we move tables around to try to organize better, and then boom there’s more growth and we have to figure out something new to keep from bumping into each other in our “studio” (we work out of our basement).
We are so thankful to everone who has purchased products from us this season. We value each and every one of our customers.
So as I listen to my clothes in my washing machine, I’m thinking “laundry detergent next”??
