Growing Pains Again
As we approach our two year anniversary, I’m reminded of our beginnings. We live close to an incredible thrift store (Riverworks Thrift Store) run by our church. In the beginning to keep start up costs low, we shopped there frequently for hot plates, wooden spoons and pans. As we have grown, we’ve purchased hot plates with timers that all match. We have giant pots that all match now. We bought used sheet trays months ago and we went about making soap.
Then we sold soap. And more soap. We’ve gotten into so many stores (two more last week, can’t wait to tell you about that), and our farmers market customers came back with friends. Lots of them!
So as we approach our Christmas season we are lower in supply than we like. So we have been very busy. I broke a record on Monday and made 490 bars in one day! But we’ve been making so much soap that ALL of our pans are already full of soap being cured.
We grew. Again. So off I went for 25 more sheet trays (not enough but that is what they had) and 3 more bakers trays to store our soap!
We appreciate you, our customers SO much. Like you really have no idea. Thank you for sharing us! Again today a customer placed an order and said they had been gifted our soap and loved it. Thanks Amanda, and Amanda’s friend!
We’ll be using these new pans later tonight when we unmold our latest batches of soap!
There will be some new things popping up on our website soon. We are so excited!!
