Five Years!

When I started this business, I never dreamed it would become this successful. God has answered so many prayers. There are so many memories, so many friends made, so much fun! In a goat group yesterday, someone asked if there was income to be made selling soap. Most people said they made enough to pay for feed, so it’s pretty amazing what I’ve done. What God has done.

I think back to how it all began. Pretty early on I got into my first stores. Lakewinds was one of the first, and that was HUGE. I had been a member for 20+ years, so it was an absolute dream getting into those 3 grocery stores. Smith and Trade Mercantile happened at the start of covid. Kelly, the owner, let makers come and sell their goods for free to try to help us out during that difficult time. At the end of the market, I asked Kelly if she would consider selling my soaps in her store. I recorded myself telling a friend the news when I got to my car, I was elated and for good reason. Now 4 years later, this is my best store and I’m so excited to be there.

What I heard often when I approached stores and farmers markets was that their goat vendor had just left, so there was an opening. It felt like God’s plan with all of the doors that opened in the beginning. So many miracles!
