Sarah has news

Years ago I prepared for my girls to go off to their first day of kindergarten. It was both hard and exciting all at once. I will never forget my oldest coming home on the bus from her first day. I had the camcorder all ready to capture her initial reaction to school. I thought she would have been so excited to walk through the door and tell us about her day. I was wrong. She was SO upset because there was no recess AND no lunch in kindergarten. We had a good laugh.

Sarah’s had a completely different life than her older sister. We’ve spent way more time together. Of course during the cancer treatment we were together almost all of the time. She has been home schooled longer than her sister. Our business has us working together also.

About a month ago we stopped in at Target to purchase some canning jars for a new product we were going to make. As we walked in, a friend of Sarah’s was recruiting people to work at Target, and she stopped Sarah. To my surprise, Sarah was interested in working at Target. So she applied, and last week she started her first shift. After her first day I snapped this photo of her at her register. It felt like her first day of kindergarten all over again. Sarah loves people, so she has a blast being a cashier. But don’t worry, she will still have plenty of time to make the bath bombs that we all love!
