Ooops!

We have quite the hill at Rapha Farms going down to the barn. In the winter this has it’s challenges. Getting feed and hay down is one of those challenges. I’ve been trying to get hay for a couple of months, but there’s been one issue after another and yesterday we actually ran out. So when you have an emergency, you improvise. So like when we started with just two goats, we went and got 4 small squares of hay in our Prius and with the warm weather, we were even able to drive down to the barn to unload it!

Later in the day our friend Pete showed up to drop off some older hay at an amazing price. Funny story, we had planned to help him, but we didn’t even hear him pull into our driveway. We had a house full of dogs that were playing like wild elephants, we didn’t even hear him pull in over the noise. So Pete and his son unloaded the hay for us!

When it rains it pours, because today our friend Dave is going to help us get some big bales, and our friends Layla and Jon are on standby with a skid loader to help move the bales if needed. We appreciate our community of friends so much. We are figuring things out still here at the farm, and God keeps sending us helpers. We appreciate you all so much!
